LOS ANGELES (KGTV) --Fire crews are on scene after a small brush fire erupted near the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
The fire broke out less than a mile away from the famous site around 7:46 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
As of 8:27 p.m., the fire had burned an acre and a half. The department said no structures are currently being threatened.

As of 9 p.m. the fire department reportedthat the fire had grown to between three and four acres. The fire is in a remote location of heavy brush with no wind, according to firefighters. Additional resources were not called in.
