SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A homeless encampment caught fire Wednesday afternoon near Interstate 805, sparking a small brush fire.
The blaze was reported shortly after 2 p.m. just off 43rd Street and Mayberry St. in the Mountain View area of San Diego.
Fire crews were able to put down the fire within an hour before it spread deeper into surrounding brush.
No injuries were reported. The source of the fire was not released.
