Body found in Vista home being investigated as homicide

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - The death of a man found Wednesday morning in a Vista home is being investigated as a homicide.

Sheriff's Deputies were called to the discovery at a home in the 2200 block of San Clemente Avenue just before 11 a.m. A caller reported finding an unresponsive 51-year-old man with trauma to the upper portion of his body. Deputies said the man was dead when they arrived.

The identity of the man was not released.

Based on the circumstances surrounding the discovery, the Sheriff's Homicide Detail has taken over the investigation. Deputies will remain at the scene overnight.
