SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Body camera footage captured during the Unversity City shooting on April 30 was released during a Friday press conference.

The video captured from a San Diego Police officer's bodycam shows the moment officers surrounded the shooter,  49-year-old Peter Selis, as he sat in the pool area of the La Jolla Crossroads apartment complex.

Officers with guns drawn worked their way to the outside of the pool area before yelling, "drop the gun," and firing on Selis.

Selis was fatally shot by police.

Aerial video captured as police arrived on the scene shows the pilot hovering above and directing officers to Selis' location.

Selis opened fire on a group of individuals celebrating a birthday in the pool area, killing one woman, 35-year-old Monique Clark, and injuring six others.

Police said Friday a motive for the shooting is still unclear.
