Beware of bicyclists and fire trucks bearing gifts if you're driving around Saturday morning, because some of San Diego's holiday traditions are set for Saturday.

Around 300 bicyclists are scheduled to ride from La Jolla Village Square to the Salvation Army Kroc Center as members of the San Diego Bicycle Club deliver gifts collected during their 28th annual holiday toy drive. The bike caravan will be led by none other than Santa Claus.

The toys will be used for the Kroc Center's Toy 'n' Joy Workshop, in which members of local families in need can select presents. Around 1,500 children benefit from the workshop each year.

In El Cajon, toys dropped off at the El Cajon Fire Department will be driven aboard fire trucks to the parking lot of Target in the annual Fire Truck Toy Parade. The donations will be delivered to the Salvation Army for their
40th annual East County Toy & Food Drive.

Radio station KOGO will broadcast live from Target beginning at 9 a.m.

The fire trucks are expected to leave the station on Lexington Avenue around 11 a.m. and arrive about 15 minutes later.

More than 1,500 children and their parents are set to ride the North County Transit District's annual Holiday Express train on a 65-minute round trip from the Oceanside Transit Center to Solana Beach and back.

Participants in the sold-out event will ride in decorated Coaster train cars with Santa Claus and enjoy caroling and other entertainment.
