SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Family members descended on the El Cajon courthouse Tuesday, wearing t-shirts in honor of Leticia Arroyo, who was shot to death last October in her townhouse in Santee.
They came to watch the preliminary hearing for 21-year-old Jose Nunez-Torres, charged with her murder.
Steven Chavez told 10News, "My sister was a very loving person, big heart, very funny; was a leader and will definitely be missed every day."

Nunez-Torres, along with Gustavo Cerone, is also accused of a home invasion in La Jolla less than a week later.
Two men climbing through a kitchen window and confronted by the homeowner who had heard a loud thud and came to check.
Robert Hill, Jr. testified that he heard a thud and went to the kitchen to investigate. There he encountered two men wearing bandanas.

The first, he said, "wheeled around with a pistol and approached me, pointing it at my face."
He said he later had the gun pressed against his temple. The robbers left with only a little cash and some credit cards.
The hearing is expected to last several days. At its conclusion, Judge Robert Amador will decide if there’s enough evidence to warrant a trial.
