Trader Joe's issues recall of raw cashew pieces

Trader Joe's has announced a recall of its Raw Cashew Pieces product due to possible salmonella contamination.

The company says the product was not distributed in California, but was sent to these states: Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin.

According to Trader Joe's, the product's barcode number is 00505154 and has the lot code "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4."

No illnesses have been reported, the company says. The company urges anyone who has the product "to discard the product or to return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund."
