DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) - It may look like musicians take the spotlight more often than not at the San Diego County Fair, but you may be missing one of the most impressive areas of the fair.
The artwork exhibitions displayed within the Paddock area of Del Mar fair by students and local artists are truly astounding.
"Student Showcase" brings together the collection effort of middle schoolers, high schoolers, and community college students in two floors packed with art.
Photography, drafting, fashion, design, graphics, new media, and robotics are also showcased in addition to classic artwork and drawings.

Many of the projects on display have taken the better part of a school year to conceptualize and create. They showcase of students' artistic endeavors as much as they highlight the talent throughout the San Diego region.
The showcase gives artists recognition as well as school credibility, awards, and exposure.
Anyone interested can visit the Paddock location of the fairgrounds when the fair is open to view the amazing entries by local students.
