SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Month of a Million Meals has raised a record number of meals for San Diegans in need this year.
A record 10.1 million meals (10,100,579 exactly) were raised thanks to the generosity of San Diegans who joined ABC 10News' fighter against hunger this past holiday season. Those meals will help Feeding San Diego provide nutritious meals to those in need of food assistance.
Now more than ever, thousands of people are facing hunger across San Diego County — many for the first time. The demand for Feeding San Diego's services has surged 50% due to the coronavirus pandemic.
ABC 10News and Feeding San Diego would like to thank everyone who helped give the gift of food to their neighbors in need.
