SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Whether you're looking to eat, drink, or stroll around San Diego this weekend, there's an event just for you.

Mission Beach will celebrate is delicious culinary scene Thursday in its annual Taste of Mission Beach event, benefiting clean beaches.

Still hungry? San Diego Taco Fest heads to town Saturday for some delicious fun, live music, and Lucha Libre action in Waterfront Park.

Pirates will take over the San Diego Maritime Museum for a two-day celebration of the seven seas, and cowboys and cowgirls will saddle up in Ramona for some rodeo fun:

THURSDAY

5th Annual Taste of Mission Beach

Where: Various restaurants; Cost: $30

Mission Beach invites foodies to walk, ride, or sail to as many Mission Beach restaurants and sample their delicious eats during Taste of Mission Beach. Proceeds from the event benefit the Pacific Beach Street Guardians, which works to keep beach communities clean.

 

Encinitas Cruise Nights

Where: Downtown Encinitas; Cost: Free

Downtown Encinitas will be hopping with the sounds of rock n' roll against a backdrop of muscle, hot rod, and classic cars from D St. to K St. Check out historic vehicles from local owners, enjoy live music, and stick around to see whose rides win some awards or grab some dinner on Highway 101.


FRIDAY

Comedian Jay Chandrasekhar

Where: American Comedy Company; Cost: $20

(Runs Thursday to Saturday) Comedian, writer, and director Jay Chandrasekhar from Broken Lizard hits San Diego for a few nights of standup comedy at American Comedy Co. If you're in search of some guaranteed laughs, the Super Troopers star will leave your funny bone freakin' out. Man. 

 

38th annual Ramona PRCA Rodeo

Where: Fred Grand Arena; Cost: $10 - $50

(Runs Friday to Sunday) Some of the best cowboys and cowgirls will showcase their top-notch rodeo skills for some old-west style fun in Ramona. Nancarrow will provide some classic honky-tonk sounds and a free dance will follow the show. Proceeds benefit Ramona's Rodeo Park.


SATURDAY

2nd annual OMBAC Beer Fest and Over the Line tournament

Where: Mission Bay Park; Cost: $35 - $120

(Runs Saturday to Sunday) Old Mission Beach Athletic Club is combining two things San Diegans love into one weekend: Craft beer and Over-the-Line. OMBAC's Beer Fest and OTL tournament will feature loads of options from local breweries and food trucks and of course, some great OTL action from 120 teams.

 

San Diego Taco Fest

Where: Waterfront Park; Cost: $30 - $35

Who doesn't love tacos? San Diego has a special relationship with the delicious meal and will celebrate with more than 30 local restaurants' take on tacos. Guests can celebrate Taco Tuesday on Saturday with live music and Lucha Libre wrestling matches.


SUNDAY

San Diego Donut Run

Where: Crown Point; Cost: $15 - $45

Support GiGi's Playhouse San Diego's work helping individuals with Down syndrome during San Diego Donut Run. Racers can jump into a 5K or 1-mile event and awards will be given for best costume, most team spirit, and most funds raised. And of course, there will be donuts!

 

Pirate Days

Where: San Diego Maritime Museum; Cost: Free - $18

(Runs Saturday to Sunday) AAARRH-guably the most seaworthy event of the weekend, San Diego Maritime Museum's Pirate Days return for a celebration of all things pirate. Kids are encouraged to come in costume and take part in a scavenger (treasure) hunt, kids activities, and watch cannon firings and weapons demonstrations depicting life on the seven seas.
