SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Enjoy some sun, some monster truck fun, or foodie action around town this weekend!

San Diego's Restaurant Week continues through the weekend, giving hungry locals a taste of some of the area's best dishes at special lunch and dinner pricing. Escondido also kicks off its own restaurant week on Sunday, donating a portion of specials sold to the North County Food Bank.

Monster Jam returns for one more night at Petco Park, in case you missed all the delicious monster truck action last weekend. Disney on Ice also returns to Pechanga Arena (formerly Valley View Casino Center) with a slew of favorite Disney characters embarking on a magical adventure on ice.

The San Diego Sunroad Marina Boat Show hits the bay to showcase the latest in nautical gear and boating. And golf fans will want to get out to Torrey Pines at least once this weekend to see some of the world's best golfers tee off.

THURSDAY

Adventure Film Festival
Where: San Diego Natural History Museum; Cost: $20 - $22
Excite your sense of adventure with a lineup of independent and adventure films at the San Diego NAT. The Collection of films highlights climbing, surfing, mountain biking, paddling, and other adrenaline-rushing activities, and includes raffle prizes, drinks, snacks!

Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream
Where: Pechanga Arena; Cost: $15 - $80
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) Disney on Ice comes to San Diego's Pechanga Arena, bringing your favorite characters for an exciting show on ice. See the debut of Moana, as she embarks on a quest to save her island, as well as adventures with Princess Elsa, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and others!

FRIDAY

San Diego Sunroad Marina Boat Show
Where: Sunroad Resort Marina; Cost: Free - $15
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) See all the latest in marine services, products, and vessels at the San Diego Sunroad Marina Boat Show. Dozens of marine vendors will be available for boat enthusiasts, and special boating events and free boat rides will be available.

34th Plays by Young Writers Festival
Where: The Old Globe Theater; Cost: $20 - $60
(Runs Friday - Sunday) Playwright projects developed by California students will be performed at the Old Globe Theater during the Plays by Young Writers Festivals. More than 400 submissions have come down to six plays to be featured, with three writers ultimately having their plays produced and three having their scripts presented as stage readings.

SATURDAY

Farmers Insurance Open
Where: Torrey Pines Golf Course; Cost: Free - $395
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) A star-studded field will be gunning for this year’s top prize at the Farmers Insurance Open. Come out and catch some of the world's best golfers take the green, including Justin Rose, the world’s top-ranked player; seven-time Farmers Insurance Open winner Tiger Woods; defending champion Jason Day; 2017 tournament winner Jon Rahm; first-time Farmers Insurance Open participant Rory McIlroy; and Scripps Ranch High/San Diego State alum Xander Schauffele.

San Diego Restaurant Week
Where: Various locations; Cost: $20 - $50
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) Foodies unite! More than 180 restaurants throughout San Diego County are taking part in the eight-day San Diego Restaurant Week. Like in previous years, participating restaurants offer diners specially priced meals, often through three-course prix-fixe lunches and dinners to show off the very best each restaurant has to offer.

Monster Jam
Where: Petco Park; Cost: $15 - $95
Monster Jam is back high-octane racing and freestyle stunts back to Petco Park this weekend. Check out the debut of five new trucks this season, in addition to iconic monster trucks Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, and Max-D.

SUNDAY

Bananarama
Where: The Observatory North Park; Cost: $40
Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward of the 1980s female English pop group Bananarama are in town to rock The Observatory with their global pop-dance and new wave hits.

Greatest Showman Sing-a-Long
Where: Museum of Photographic Arts; Cost: Free - $10
Fans of the Greatest Showman will be able to belt out their best version of the movie's hits at the Museum of Photographic Arts during a screening of the film! Raffles will be held and funds will help community choir projects.

Dine Out Escondido! Restaurant Week
Where: Various locations; Cost: Varies
More than 30 restaurants in Escondido will offer scrumptious specials from highly-acclaimed chefs, restaurateurs, and eateries! Get a taste of everything delicious Escondido has to offer! No tickets are needed, just show up to a participating restaurant, order a special, and $1 for every special sold goes to the North County Food Bank's FOOD 4 KIDS Backpack Program.
