SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego will celebrate the weekend with Tom Cruise look-alikes, travel hacks, and very, very large trucks this weekend.

The San Diego Italian Film Festival will offer a showing of "Io sono Tempesta" at the Museum of Photographic Arts, while the Borrego Springs Film Festival kicks off at the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center on Thursday as well.

Bring the family to Fleet Science Center for hands-on experiences with more than 30 new technologies at the High Tech Fair.

The San Diego Travel & Adventure show is bringing the latest and most helpful in travel tips and deals to the San Diego Convention Center. Or, head to Petco Park for a weekend to catch the drivers and massive four-wheelers of Monster Jam.

And for Tom Cruise fans, an interactive show driven by a group of partying Tom Cruise look-alikes.

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend:

THURSDAY

High Tech Fair
Where: Fleet Science Center; Cost: Free
Participating San Diego companies are bringing their latest technologies to Fleet Science Center for High Tech Fair. The event is geared toward families and 7th to 12th grade students to help expose them to the latest emerging sciences in the world of technology.

San Diego Italian Film Festival: Io sono Tempesta
Where: Museum of Photographic Arts; Cost: $8 - $12
"Io sono Tempesta" follows a ruthless, charismatic businessman has he tries, and fails, to stay ahead of the law and is sentenced to community service in a homeless shelter. Enjoy the Italian film this week at the Museum of Photographic Arts as part of the San Diego Italian Film Festival.

FRIDAY

Pablo Francisco
Where: The American Comedy Co.; Cost: $10 - $20
(Thursday - Saturday) Imagine a world, where you're taking in, a comedy show ... Comedian Pablo Francisco (perhaps best known for his spot-on impressions and "movie trailer" voice) will take the stage for three nights at downtown's American Comedy Co.

6th annual Borrego Springs Film Festival
Where: Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center; Cost: $10 - $125
(Thursday - Sunday) Enjoy the works of young and seasoned filmmakers at the Borrego Springs Film Festival, filled with opportunities to network with filmmakers, take part in Q&A sessions, listen to panel discussions, and check out a variety of wonderful films.

SATURDAY

San Diego Travel & Adventure Show
Where: San Diego Convention Center; Cost: $11 - $22
(Saturday - Sunday) More than 200 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest in popular travel destinations, planning, travel deals, and more at the San Diego Convention Center this weekend. Travel personalities, including Discovery Channel's Josh Gates, will be in town to offer their best travel hacks and tips.

Monster Jam
Where: Petco Park; Cost: $15 - $95
Monster Jam is back high-octane racing and freestyle stunts back to Petco Park this weekend. Check out the debut of five new trucks this season, in addition to iconic monster trucks Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, and Max-D.

Kids Marathon Mile at Legoland
Where: Legoland California; Cost: $25 - $30
Before doors open Saturday, Legoland will host a 1-mile fun run for kids of all ages and running abilities. Kids will receive a finisher's medal and t-shirt and get to run through Legoland.

SUNDAY

Tom Gun Live
Where: Music Box; Cost: $27 - $52
An interactive homage to Tom Cruise will invite the audience to be a part of the party. Tom Gun Live is an interactive show featuring Tom Cruise actors reprising iconic roles from the actor's career. Guests are invited to dress as their favorite Cruise character and help keep the karaoke, paper airplane battles, and dance-offs going.

San Diego Restaurant Week
Where: Various locations; Cost: $20 - $50
Foodies unite! More than 180 restaurants throughout San Diego County are taking part in the eight-day San Diego Restaurant Week. Like in previous years, participating restaurants offer diners specially priced meals, often through three-course prix-fixe lunches and dinners to show off the very best each restaurant has to offer.

2019 Carlsbad Marathon & Half Marathon
Where: Carlsbad Village; Cost: $50 - $185
Lace up your running shoes and go for your best time in Carlsbad for the Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon. The race course will take runners and walkers along the coast and through Carlsbad Village. Runners can jump into marathon, half marathon, or 5K variations.
