SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Get ready for Valentine's Day this weekend with some wonderfully San Diego experiences for you and your special someone or with friends or family.

San Diego Maritime Museum will host two days of sailing experiences with their Sweetheart Sails, featuring three-hour tours of San Diego and surrounding marine wildlife. Bub's at the Ballpark is hosting a dog adoption and brunch event dubbed "Valentine's Day Doggie Brunch." Head over with your canine to enjoy the human food, while your pooch enjoys a special dog menu.

Escondido is hosting a Chocolate Festival, with samples of chocolate from local restaurants and businesses, in some cases paired with delicious wines and craft beer.

And, of course, it's not too late to celebrate the Year of the Pig! Head over to Mira Mesa Community Park for the free Lunar New Year celebration, San Diego Tết Festival, featuring traditional performances, music, karaoke, and delicious cuisine.

6th annual San Diego Improv Festival
Where: Tenth Avenue Arts Center; Cost: Varies by event
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) San Diego's best improv comedians will perform and teach their craft in town during the weekend-long Improv Festival. Thinking of taking up a little improv? Check out workshops from professionals and performances from teams from around the county. Or just sit back and enjoy some comedy!

Circus Vargas
Where: Westfield Mission Valley; Cost: $15 - $72
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) The Big Top is back in San Diego as Circus Vargas returns to town! Check out acrobats, daredevils, and flying trapeze artists perform to audiences' delight, bringing the thrill of circus feats from yesteryear to Mission Valley for their 50th anniversary.


San Diego Tết Festival
Where: Mira Mesa Community Park; Cost: Free
(Runs Friday - Sunday) Enjoy cultural performances, competitions, karaoke, a pet costume contest, and the crowning of Miss Vietnam of San Diego at the San Diego Tết Festival. Celebrate the Year of the Pig with a beer garden, mouthwatering food, and carnival rides and games in Mira Mesa.

San Diego Jewish Film Festival
Where: Various theaters; Cost: Free - $275
(Runs Thursday - Sunday) The San Diego Jewish Film Festival will showcase a diverse selection of Jewish-related films spanning multiple genres at various locations this week. The festival aims to educate and highlight the wide experiences of the Jewish community through independent and documentary films.


Cabrillo Sunrise 5K
Where: Cabrillo National Monument; Cost: $20 - $45
Lace up you shoes and help support educational and scientific programs at San Diego's only National Park, Cabrillo National Monument. Enjoy the sunrise and scenic ocean views along San Diego Bay while you run or walk through the park.

Escondido Chocolate Festival
Where: Downtown Escondido; Cost: $25 - $50
Chocolate lovers eat your heart out! Stroll among more than 20 restaurants, shops, and spas in downtown Escondido while sampling chocolate and local wines and craft beers. You can even learn to make chocolate yourself with a London-trained chocolatier or enjoy a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride and much more!

Brewbies Festival
Where: Bagby Beer Co.; Cost: $55 - $75
More than 40 breweries will come out in support of breast health education and awareness programs at the Brewbies Festival, in which 100 percent of proceeds benefit The Keep a Breast Foundation.


5th annual Valentine's Day Doggie Brunch
Where: Bub's at the Ballpark; Cost: Free
Celebrate Valentine's Day with your adorable canine at Bub's at the Ballpark's Valentine's Day Doggie Brunch! Owners can enjoy a Bloody Mary Bar, and raffles and prizes, while the pooches enjoy a special dog menu! Dogs will also be available for adoption, benefiting Second Chance Dog Rescue San Diego.

Sweetheart Sail
Where: San Diego Maritime Museum; Cost: Free - $99
(Runs Saturday - Sunday) Set sail for a memorable Valentine's Day with your special sweetheart, friends, or family at San Diego Maritime Museum. Take a scenic, three-hour tour of the bay, marine wildlife, and other San Diego attractions.

Nourished Festival
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds; Cost: $5 - $15
(Runs Friday - Saturday) Gather at Del Mar Fairgounds for a look at delicious products within the gluten-free, allergy, and special diet realms at the Nourished Festival. Exhibitors will showcase the latest in modified and special diets, with samples available, of course, and educational presentations on food allergies and diets.
