SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego continues to get rid of commemorations of Cesar Chavez.
Tuesday, the San Diego City Council gave final approval to change the name of Cesar Chavez Parkway to Chicano Park Boulevard.
The council also finalized amending the city charter to rename Cesar Chavez Day to "Farmworkers' Day."
Celebrations of Chavez have been removed throughout the country following allegations he sexually assaulted women and girls.
