(KGTV) - It's going to be a great weekend to get out and enjoy San Diego this weekend.

This weekend, the Miramar Air Show returns to MCAS Miramar, giving attendees a free glimpse inside military and civilian aircraft and death-defying performances across three days.

Another favorite of San Diegans returns this weekend: Julian's Apple Days. Julian and apple pie go together like peanut butter and jelly. Celebrate the two this weekend in a festival dedicated to the two.

But if apples and aircraft don't catch your attention, there are plenty of other options throughout the county this weekend - many of which benefit some great causes. Here's a look at some of this weekend's events:

MCAS Miramar Air Show in Miramar - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

MCAS Miramar's annual display of aviation and celebration of the military returns this weekend. Miramar's free Air Show will wow crowds will spectacular performances in the air and on the ground. More information.

28th annual Fall Home Garden Show at Del Mar Fairgrounds - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

If you're in need of a creative jolt for your home this season, Del Mar's annual Fall Home Garden Show is all you'll need. The three-day extravaganza packs a schedule full of hands-on demonstrations, seminars, and inspiration from remodeling, building, and trade experts. More information

23rd annual San Diego Festival of Beer at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier - Friday

More than 120 craft beer varieties will be served up at San Diego's "original" beer festival. As always, live music and food will be on hand for hungry partiers. All proceeds go toward various San Diego organizations dedicated to fighting cancer. More information.

Ocean Beach Pier Pancake Breakfast in Ocean Beach - Saturday

Ocean Beach's local fundraising tradition returns to Ocean Beach Pier. Enjoy stacks of pancakes complete with a scenic view, benefiting the OB Food and Toy Drive, and other OBTC holiday events. More information.

100 Wave Challenge in Mission Beach - Saturday

Surfers will attempt to each raise $1,000 as they try to catch 100 waves in 10 hours, all to benefit the Boys to Men Mentoring organization. More information.

15th annual Vista Viking Festival at Vista's Norway Hall - Saturday and Sunday

Vista's annual Viking Festival is a trip back in time (waaaay back in time.) Attendees can enjoy live music, Viking battles, traditional-styled beers, entertainment, and, of course, a dash of history. More information.

Julian Apple Days Festival in Julian - Saturday and Sunday
