SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - This weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to spend the entire day out in San Diego.

San Diego Beer Week kicks off on Friday and runs throughout the weekend, with events and specials at your favorite breweries across the county.

The Breeders' Cup World Championships also start this weekend at the Del Mar Racetrack for the first time ever, as the Bing Crosby Season of racing gets underway.

There are also some local festivals to enjoy, from the Carlsbad Village Faire to the Ramona Art and Wine Festival. Here's a look at what's happening this weekend:

Dia de Los Muertos Celebration at Balboa Theatre - Thursday

Grammy-winning Mexican American roots band La Santa Cecilia, Mexrrissey, and Latin Grammy nominees Mariachi Flor de Toloache will perform at San Diego's Balboa Theatre in celebration of Dia de Los Muertos. More information.

34th Annual Breeders' Cup Championship at Del Mar Racetrack - Friday and Saturday

The Breeders' Cup World Championships kick off this weekend as Del Mar Racing's Bing Crosby Season gets underway. The season will host 16 days of racing through Nov. 26, with the Breeders' Cup race series making a stop at Del Mar for the first time ever. More information.

15th Annual San Diego Brewer's Guild Festival at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier - Friday - Saturday

Sample more than 60 brews from San Diego County breweries during the Brewer's Guild two-day festival helping to kick off San Diego Beer Week. Color Run Dream Tour at SDCCU Stadium - Saturday

5th Annual Ramona Art and Wine Festival at Begent Ranch - Saturday
