SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Looking for something to do this Mother's Day weekend?

There are plenty of opportunities to jazz up the weekend in San Diego.

Races, food and drink festivals and more are happening across the county. Here are some can't miss events going on between May 12 -14:

Gator By The Bay at Spanish Landing Park - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Bust out you best Louisiana flair four four days (starting Thursday) of music, dancing, and Cajun and Creole cuisine. Seven stages in Spanish Landing Park will fill the air with Blues, Cajun, Swing, and Jazz and foodies will be hit with about 10,000 pounds of Lousiana crawfish throughout the weekend. Surfrider San Diego's 17th Annual Art Gala and Auction at Paradise Point Resort - Friday

Help Surfrider San Diego raise funds benefiting local beaches at their annual Auction and Art Gala, featuring art, fashion, and music. Connect with artists and local activist while raising awareness and supporting the surf and sand. More information.

San Diego Golf and Craft Beer Festival at St. Mark Golf Club - Friday, and Saturday

Golf and beer (two things San Diegans love) team up for this yearly festival. Attendees can try out some of the newest clubs on the market from Callaway, TaylorMade, or others and take part in free clinics with professionals. Oh, and there's also beer (naturally.) More information.

6th Annual San Diego Surf Film Festival at Misfit Gallery - Friday and Saturday

The San Diego Surf Film Festival will screen more than 25 international surf films that capture surf culture around the globe. Filmmakers will be there to talk with attendees and there will be an auction and live art. More information.

Santee Aloha 5K Fun Run and Walk 2017 at Santee Town Center Community Park - Saturday

Lace up your running shoes and put on your best Hawaiian gear for Santee's Aloha 5K. Proceeds raised benefit the Santee School District Foundation, directly helping Santee School District students and programs. Stick around afterward for Hawaiian dancing, refreshments, and family friendly activities. More information.

Chocolate Festival 2017 at San Diego Botanical Garden - Saturday

Everyone loves chocolate, but perhaps not as much as those attending the Chocolate Festival. Dozens of tasting opportunities from a list of vendors looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. Attendees will also be treated to demonstrations, kid activities, and more. Mother's Day gifts are also promised on-site. (Don't forget to check out the chocolate fountain, too!) More information.

69th Annual OB Kite Festival at Dusty Rhodes Park - Saturday

Like kites? The sky will be filled with them in Ocean Beach this weekend, as the OB Kite Festival returns for its 69th year. The free event invites attendees to make and decorate their own kite, take part in kite games, and and check out the kite shows and stunts. A carnival and off-street fair will be around for family-friendly events and shopping as well. More information.

8th Annual Del Mar Mud Run 5K at Del Mar Fairgrounds - Saturday

You're going to get mud on you, know that now. Del Mar's annual Mud Run sends runners and walkers through three miles of 15 muddy obstacles. Hang out after to enjoy a free beer and live entertainment post race. More information.

Paella Wine and Beer Festival at Embarcadero Marina Park - Saturday

Killer tapas and paela and delicious drinks await at the Embarcadero on Saturday. Sixty teams of chefs will compete for best paella in the region (but let's be real, the real winners are attendees.) Bring your dancing shoes too, live music with Flamenco and Spanish rock will keep the fun going. More information.

Mother's Day Sunset Dinner Cruise at Grape St. Pier  - Sunday

Enjoy a three-course dinner with mom while sailing along San Diego Bay. The cruise runs for three hours and also includes live music and dancing. More information.
