Can't miss San Diego: Things to do March 31 - April 2

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - This weekend is packed with some great excuses to get outside and enjoy that springtime weather sweeping across San Diego County.

If you're a runner or walker, the Peace-Love-Run event or Trash Dash 5K is sure to get you moving - and in one case, possibly groovin'.

The San Diego Padres are getting ready to step to the plate this season with their annual FanFest event, giving visitors the chance to meet players and take to Petco Park's field throughout the day.

And, of course, what would a San Diego weekend be without some delicious food and craft beer? Yeah, there's always plenty of that to be had. Check out some can't miss opportunities this weekend:

Bankers Hill Arts & Craft Beer Festival @ The Abbey - Friday

Check out some awesome art and enjoy some delicious local brews at The Abbey this weekend. The Bankers Hill Arts and Craft Beer Festival brings together local breweries and artists in a creative and unique setting. More information.

Goodguys 17th Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals @ Del Mar Fairgrounds - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

More than 2,500 muscle cars, hot rods, trucks, and classic vehicles will gather at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the Meguiar's car show. The show will also feature a swap meet, a Kidz Zone, and live entertainment. More information.

Peace-Love-Run Half Marathon, 10K, 5K run-walk @ Mission Bay Park - Saturday

Spread a little peace and love this weekend while kicking up some dirt in Mission Bay! Runners are encouraged to put on their best go-go, hippie, or Sunny and Cher styles as they lace up for this groovy event. If running isn't your bag, check out the Peace-Love-Yoga party next to the finish line. More information.

Uncorked Wine Festival @ Marina Park North - Saturday

More than 50 wineries will be on hand at the Uncorked Wine Festival this weekend. Enjoy samples of wine, local food trucks, and live music while kicking back in Marina Park. More information.

 

Seven Seas Craft Beer and Food Festival @ SeaWorld San Diego - Saturday

Nearly 60 food samples and 80 varieties of beer will be available at SeaWorld's Seven Seas Craft Beer and Food Festival. Food will feature local, sustainable ingredients and cuisine styles from around the world. More information.

Trash Dash 5K @ Hansen’s Surf Shop, Encinitas - Saturday

Think you can run a 5K and clean up the community at the same time? The Trash Dash will feature a run along Encinitas' iconic coast, while cleaning the course along the way. Prizes will be award to those who pick up the most trash and proceeds go toward efforts to make county waterways and beaches cleaner. More information.

San Diego Padres FanFest 2017 @ Petco Park - Saturday

Baseball season is back! Head down to Petco Park this weekend to meet some of your favorite Padres players, run the field, check out game-used gear, and more. Visitors can also visit the Padres Hall of Fame and Q&A forums with management and players. More information.

Latin American Art Festival @ Liberty Station - Saturday and Sunday

The annual Latin American Art Festival presents paintings, sculptures, photography, and printmaking featuring artistic expressions of the Latin American community. Julian Gold Rush Days @ Julian Mining Company - Saturday and Sunday

44th San Diego Crew Classic @ Mission Bay - Saturday and Sunday
