A 30-year-old woman walking along a Mission Valley street was stabbed twice in the back by another woman who got out of a truck that had pulled up alongside the victim, according to police.

The stabbing happened at 445 Camino Del Rio South at about 8 p.m. Saturday, according to Officer Robert Heims.

A 2005 black Chevy Tahoe pickup truck pulled over, the suspect got out, walked up to the victim, stabbed her twice in the left shoulder, and got back in the truck without saying anything, Heims said. The suspect then left the area.

The victim sought help at a nearby hotel, the desk clerk called paramedics and the victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to be OK, Heims said.

The suspect was described as a black woman, 5-feet 5-inches tall, about 265 pounds and wearing a black shirt.
