No injuries were reported after a man walked up to an Encanto-area house and opened fire early Tuesday morning, hitting windows, walls and a nearby car.
San Diego police said the shooting in the 5900 block of Balmoral Drive happened at around 3:30 a.m.
According to police, a man believed to be Hispanic fired 8-9 rounds into a home occupied by "older" residents and then left the scene in a vehicle that appeared to be a white Jeep Cherokee.
Police said the occupants have no gang ties, and the residents said they don't understand why their home was targeted.
