LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - A firefighter was taken away in an ambulance from a small fire Wednesday near a Lakeside mobile home park.
The California Highway Patrol got the report of flames at Los Coches Rd. and I-8 Business about 2 p.m.
Crews contained the fire in half an acre of brush on some rocks near the Rancho Los Coches mobile home park.
Officers stopped traffic in the area north of Interstate 8, at 13490 I-8 Business.
The firefighter is an inmate at an unknown correctional facility. He suffered a leg wound from a chainsaw and is in critical condition.
