SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Authorities Friday identified an elderly woman struck and killed by a delivery truck as she walked across a driveway in Clairemont.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, 86-year-old Mary Francel was walking westbound along the 5900 block of Balboa Avenue just after 10 a.m. Thursday when a delivery truck hit her as she crossed a driveway.
Francel was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities said the truck's driver pulled over and was not cited for the incident.
A stretch of Balboa Avenue between Genesee and Mount Abernathy avenues was shut down for several hours due to the investigation.
