(KGTV) - Blood donors are waiting in hours-long lines in Las Vegas to help the victims of the concert shooting.

United Blood Services of Las Vegas said blood is desperately needed for the hundreds of people injured in the tragedy. UBS also asked for donations of food, blankets and other conveniences for donors.

Uber offered free rides to blood donors and a bounce house park said parents who donated blood could take their children to the center for free today.

A San Diego Blood Bank spokesperson said at 10 a.m. the blood bank had not received a request to send blood to Las Vegas.

Donors are always welcome to make appointments at any San Diego location or Bloodmobile.
