Heavy rain, lightning and cold temperatures are expected in San Diego County by Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Three storm systems are expected to hit land from the west over the next three days. Soaking rain and thunderstorms are expected to pack a punch by Saturday night, with a chance for water spouts off the coast, according to the NWS.

The stormy weather should taper off by Sunday morning, with another system expected later Sunday and early Monday.

Highs in the upper 60s are forecast for the area Saturday, with Saturday night’s lows expected to be in the upper 40s to 50s.

Rainfall totals could reach a third of an inch this weekend and cause minor urban flooding in some areas, the NWS said.
