SIMI VALLEY – Kyle Katsandris, the man who jumped the 60 freeway, crashed and injured himself over the weekend.

Originally seen in this viral video jumping the 60 freeway, Kyle is now recovering from his injuries while attempting to jump a set of railroad tracks.

According to the Los Angeles Times:

Katsandris overshot his landing zone and crashed, said police Cmdr. Robert Arabian. Emergency responders were called to the scene and Katsandris was taken to a hospital in “critical, but stable condition,” police said.

It is unknown the exact details of the crash and we will continue to update with any new information.

A professional motocross rider, Colin Morrison, jumped the same gap (see video below) nearly 10 years ago, and said Kyle asked for advice on the stunt last week.

In response to the accident Colin posted on his Facebook, “Nothing but the Out most respect on going for the train jump…and truly hope he has a speedy recovery.”

The jump can be seen behind Colin in the photo below.
