CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The Park View baseball team that competed in the Little League World Series is scheduled to arrive in San Diego on Monday night, and the team will be recognized for their outstanding season at a welcome home celebration on Thursday.
The Park View team won the West championship before heading to South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for the Little League World Series. Park View, which won the world title in 2009, was eliminated from this year's tournament by Tennessee.
Thursday's event will be held from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Park View Little League's field (1200 Oleander Ave., Chula Vista, 91911).
