SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The American Red Cross in San Diego is adding more to its toolbox to stay at pace with a growing population.
The agency now has 16 evacuation trailers after adding two more this week.
The trailers are deployed to evacuation centers during emergency events and disasters.
Each trailer is equipped with cots, blankets, and hygienic items for up to 100 people.
“This initiative is about really going through all of our inventory making sure that it’s up to date,“ said Victor Roosen, American Red Cross Regional Disaster Officer.
The Red Cross works with county officials works to coordinate where is the most effective location for them in a movie.
“Whatever is called for,” said Roosen “we'll make it happen.”
