POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) — Poway High School senior Trevor Tishenkel has been a part of the Titans varsity baseball team all four years he's been on campus.

Trevor is also one of the top players in San Diego County, and for that he credits his teammates and coaches.

"Playing baseball at Poway High School was a great experience. My coaches pushed me every single day on and off the field, every practice and every game. As far as my teammates, they pushed me every single day to become a better person, and that created bonds that will last forever," said Tishenkel.

Next year Trevor will play college baseball in the Pac-12 at Cal, but he is very disappointed to have his senior season cut short to coronavirus.

"There are a lot bigger problems right now than losing your senior season. It's been difficult and frustrating because I put in so much work during the off season, and I just wanted to have a good senior season and show everyone what I've been working towards," Tishenkel says.
