A teaser for the next Star Wars movie was released during the D23 Expo in California this weekend.
The movie titled "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will be released on Dec. 20. Disney unveiled about a minute of new material from the final film in the Star Wars saga at the expo.
The sizzle reel from director J.J. Adams starts with a nostalgic look at the original and prequel trilogies, eventually leading to Luke's dialogue from the first teaser trailer about thousands of generations being passed to Rey.
The sneak peek also shows the main band of heroes looking at a grand bazaar in the desert and then there's a shot of of Resistance starships coming out of hyperspace. That's followed by one of the new characters looking up to see a sea of Star Destroyers, a shot of C-3PO with red eyes, and Rey using her blue lightsaber to cut down a tree.
Later, Rey and Kylo fight on what appears to be a crashed ship in water.
The teaser ends with Emperor Palpatine saying "The journey nears its end" and a dark hooded figure looks up. You'll have to watch the teaser to find out who it is.
