SAN DIEGO (KGTV) --A woman in East Village is warning others after a man followed her and grabbed her inappropriately.
Vicky didn't want to use her last name but told 10News she had just parted ways with her boyfriend near 10th and J Streets around 1:00 Monday afternoon when she noticed a man walking behind her and muttering.
“He’s like ‘I want to grab your a**, I want that a**'" Vicky said. "I looked behind me and I was like ‘Am I hearing him right? I don’t understand you, please leave me alone’ and I kept walking.”
She reached her apartment on Market Street and 14th Street and says when she went to get her keys from her purse, the man grabbed her backside.
“I was just screaming at him ‘You don’t [expletive] touch women.’ That’s exactly what I said, “You don’t touch women. Don’t grab women’s a****,'" she said. "I’m screaming that over and over until he crossed the street and went away from me.”
Vicky and other witnesses flagged down a passing patrol car. Police tell 10News they arrested 24-year-old Jatill Sydnor for false representation of self to a police officer, and for sexual battery.
They also confirm to 10News that they are investigating a similar case involving Sydnor against another possible victim.
“It’s the middle of the day in East Village," Vicky said. "You don’t think this stuff is going to happen.”
