NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman on a vandalism rampage left people in National City stunned on Tuesday.

Witnesses say the woman was acting erratically and didn't have shoes on. They believe she might be homeless.

The woman broke a statue and was also seen breaking multiple windshields with concrete slabs and a beer bottle. In total five vehicles were damaged in both National City and Chula Vista.

Employees at a nearby business say the suspect yelled at them and that she was also harassing a kitten.

Julie Vaickus rescued the cat and says her co-worker plans to adopt it.

"Yes, found a home for the kitten. It's a little 5-week-old, scared to death stray," said Vaickus.

Chula Vista police eventually found the suspect and arrested her.
