LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - Neighbors helped an elderly woman and her dog to safety after flames erupted at her Lakeside mobile home Friday.
The woman was pulling her car into the home's carport around 1:30 p.m. before she pulled too far in, striking something. A hissing sound followed and flames soon erupted as the woman was still in her vehicle.
A neighbor quickly helped the woman out of her car and another neighbor ran inside the home to retrieve her dog. Lakeside Fire crews showed up to douse the fire before it spread to any other units in the mobile home park.
Both the woman and her dog are safe.
