Woman carjacked while sleeping in SUV in Mission Beach

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police searched Monday for an SUV stolen from a woman sleeping inside near SeaWorld in Mission Beach.

Griselda Romero was asleep inside the Toyota Rav-4 Sunday night with the windows slightly rolled down and the doors unlocked, police said.

A man opened the driver's side door and told Romero to give him the keys.  Romero left the SUV and the man drove west on SeaWorld Dr.

Romero's dog and cat were in the car and have not been recovered, said police.

The SUV was a 2010 Toyota Rav-4, white with a broken windshield and a license plate 6NVG671.
