SAN DIEGO -- A woman's car was stolen from her Saturday while she was parking it in the Otay Mesa West neighborhood, police said.
The carjacking was reported at 9:08 p.m. in the 1300 block of 27th Street where the 28-year-old victim had just parked her 2014 Dodge Journey, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
Her window was down as she was parking and a male suspect approached her car and told her to leave the keys, get out of the car and don't look, Heims said.
The victim left the keys and exited the vehicle and the suspect drove away in the Dodge, traveling south on 27th Street.
The vehicle has 20-inch rims and tinted windows with a California license plate of 7UVB815.
The victim did not have a suspect description, Heims said.
