DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing are 5-25-26-44-66 and the Powerball number is 9.
The numbers were drawn on Saturday night for a jackpot of more than $400 million, making it the largest since a record-setting prize in January.
Lottery officials say It could be several hours before they know if a winning ticket was sold. If no one has the lucky ticket, the prize will likely grow substantially by the next drawing Wednesday.
The jackpot is far smaller than the largest-ever $1.6 billion prize. Three people bought winning tickets for that prize in January.
Powerball is played in 44 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The odds of winning are one in 292.2 million.
