One year after receiving new hearts at Rady Children's Hospital, two brothers returned to the hospital to visit some of the doctors and nurses who were there for them.
In early 2015, young Eric Montano became the first person to undergo heart transplant surgery at the hospital.
Two months later, it was twin brother Raul's turn to receive a new heart.
On Thursday, the twins came back to give thanks. It was the first time the hospital has had former patients come back to visit the staff.
