A vigil was held Monday night for a young man from Temecula who was killed in a street racing crash on Mother's Day.

Joe Castro, 19, was riding in the backseat of a car when the driver lost control and hit a light pole during the road race in Lake Elsinore.

The car was split in half and Castro died in the crash.

Police said Castro was wearing his seatbelt.

Everyone else in the car survived.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Castro's family with funeral expenses.
