DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO — A man was arrested Sunday morning after a high-speed police chase on at least two San Diego-area freeways ended on Broadway near Fifth Avenue in downtown San Diego.

Our 10News crew spotted seven police vehicles swoosh by on Interstate 5 around 4:15 a.m. Police said a red two-door Honda Civic was reported stolen from Bay Terraces at 2:25 a.m. The driver, 19-year-old Armando Inzunza, led law enforcement officers on a 30-minute chase that also involved Interstate 8 west and eastbound.

Police laid out a spike strip and the pursuit ended abruptly with the surrender of the two men in the vehicle but only the driver was arrested.

Inzunza could be charged with felony evading police, driving a stolen car and possession of a burglary tool.
