As part of it's goal to hire 50,000 veterans by the end of 2018, UPS is hiring several local veterans for the busy holiday shipping season.
The company partnered with the Veteran's Village to fill seasonal positions, which company executives say could turn into long term jobs.
10 News spoke to one of the new hires, Hector Luevano, who was formerly homeless and struggling to overcome drug and alcohol addiction.
Luevano has been sober for a year and a half now and says the job is a stepping stone to a better life.
