Unresponsive man pulled from water in Mission Bay

UPDATE- According to San Diego Lifeguards, the man was pronounced dead at UC San Diego Medical Center.

SAN DIEGO – Lifeguards pulled an unresponsive man from the water in Mission Bay Saturday afternoon. 
 
According to San Diego lifeguards at the scene, the man was found floating face down in Bonita Cove sometime before 12:24 p.m. off West Mission Bay Drive and Bayside Lane.
 
San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesman Lee Swanson later told 10News, the man may have suffered a cardiac arrest in the water. He had a pulse as he was being rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. 
 
There was no word on his condition.
