(KGTV) - A frantic search for a missing toddler ended when police spotted the girl in the woods outside of Savannah, Georgia, and the heart-stopping moments were caught on camera.
A search was launched for two-year-old Kamiyah Vicks after she was reported missing Tuesday evening. She disappeared after her mother was reportedly taken to the hospital for an unknown reason.
A resident contacted authorities after spotting the girl's stroller knocked over near a neighborhood pond.
Following a search that last nearly 15 hours, Savannah police officers searching in a forest in the Port Wentworth area heard the child's cries. Young Kamiyah was found leaning against a tree.
She was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for dehydration and minor scrapes.
The circumstances that led to Kamiyah's disappearance are under investigation.
