A brush fire that erupted along the California-Arizona border Wednesday has burned at least 1,200 acres and forced some evacuations, but no injuries have been immediately reported.
The Pirate Fire broke out shortly after 5 a.m. in a refuge on the Arizona side of the Colorado River. It eventually crossed into California.
Fire officials say the fire has burned vegetation in an area of Park Moabi and has caused minor damage at Pirate's Cove near Lake Havasu.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials have deemed the blaze suspicious in nature.
10News learned firefighters from Fort Mohave, Golden Shores, Bullhead City, and San Bernardino County are on scene battling the blaze on both sides of the Colorado River.
