A Pennsylvania man is in custody in connection with the death of a woman who rejected his marriage proposal.
WPVI reported Christopher Ryan Tucker, 34, faces murder and assault charges for killing 19-year-old Tara Serino. She had been reported missing on Nov. 1, WPVI reported, citing court documents.
Authorities eventually tracked down Tucker in Illinois this week and arrested him.
According to court documents obtained by WPVI, Tucker told authorities he asked Serino to marry him but then killed her after she said no. Tucker allegedly confessed to authorities that he "choked her, mutilated her body, snapped her neck, and then bludgeoned her."
Citing court documents, WPVI reported Serino's body was found in Tucker's Berks County home.
Tucker is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
