VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Sheriff's deputies are searching for the occupants of a pickup truck that crashed into several vehicles at a Vista auto dealership Thursday morning.
Sheriff's officials said deputies responded to a report of a vehicle collision near the intersection of W. Vista Way and Vista Village Drive at around 3 a.m.
Deputies arrived to find a 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck hit a street sign, two traffic signal poles and four vehicles in the North County Ford parking lot.
A witness said two people got out of the truck and ran away from the scene.
Managers at North County Ford told 10News Thursday morning's incident was not the first time they've dealt with destruction on their lot. A few months ago, windows on 20 cars were smashed.
One traffic signal pole was knocked down, causing all traffic signals for the intersection to go out briefly.
The total estimated damage to city of Vista property and the dealership is about $50,000.
The two people involved in the crash have not been identified.
