San Diego police are asking for the public's help in finding three people suspected of stealing a shopper's wallet and using the victim's ID and credit cards to make fraudulent purchases.

Police released the following information on the case:

"On March 17, 2016, at approximately 2:15 p.m., two unknown suspects (S-1 and S-2) approached a female victim who was shopping at the Sephora store inside the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego.

The victim was holding her baby when the two suspects started talking to her. While S-1 and S-2 were speaking to the victim, a third suspect (S-3) stole the victim's wallet from inside her purse, which was attached to a baby stroller.

The victim did not immediately realize that her wallet was missing.

S-2 and S-3 used the victim's stolen ID card and credit cards at several locations throughout the mall totaling over $ 15,000 in fraudulent purchases."

The suspected thieves' descriptions:

S-1 is described as an unknown race male, approximately 40 years old, 5'9" to 5'10" tall, thin build, and had dark colored hair. The male was wearing a tan colored Fedora hat with a black band on it.

S-2 and S-3 are both described as Hispanic females, late 30s, 5'3" tall, heavy builds, and had shoulder length brown hair.
