SAN DIEGO -- A toddler was struck by car in an apartment complex parking lot Tuesday night near City Heights, police said.
A 36-year-old woman attempting to back into a spot hit the 20-month-old boy as he wandered around the parking lot on Home Avenue near Fairmount Avenue around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
The motorist and the boy's mother took him to a hospital to be treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries, Heims said.
