Deadlines are looming for San Diegans who want to arrange for Thanksgiving groceries to be delivered right to their door in time for the holiday.

"The convenience factor is amazing, because it just shows up," said Brian Taylor, who lives in Mission Valley and uses e-meals and Instacart to arrange his meals for the week.

Amazon Fresh, a members-only service for Amazon Prime members, is giving people until 7 p.m. Tuesday to get their Thanksgiving grocery orders in.

Amazon Fresh costs $14.99 a month for Prime members, with deliveries of $50 or more with no additional charge. Those lower costs $9.99 each. There is no up-charge for Thanksgiving deliveries.

Instacart, which delivers from grocery stores like Ralphs, Whole Foods and Gelson's, will deliver from 8 a.m. to 1 pm. on Thanksgiving Day.

A spokeswoman for the company says families should allow for at least two hours for food to arrive. Families pay at a $5.99 fee for orders over $35, and $9.99 for orders under that amount. There is also no Thanksgiving upcharge.
