SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A teen was shot when leaving a Mira Mesa house party early Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The 19-year-old and his friends were leaving 7700 Embry Point in a vehicle around 1:53 a.m. when a popping noise was heard as the car pulled away.
The victim, who was sitting in the rear passenger seat, was struck in the neck by a bullet shot through the window, police said.
His friends transported the victim to the hospital with a minor injury and was released.
San Diego Police detectives were investigating the shooting.
