SAN DIEGO – A teen girl crashed her car into the children’s section of the San Diego Central Library Monday morning.

The crash occurred before 9 a.m. at 330 Park Blvd. A security guard at the scene told 10News a girl was driving the car, with her mother in the passenger seat, when she may have hit the gas instead of the brake and smashed through a window of the children’s section.

San Diego police responded. Neither occupant was injured. The library was closed at the time, and no one in the building was hurt.

It was not immediately disclosed if the driver would be cited.
