SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman was hospitalized after a crash that caused an SUV to flip over and land on its roof.
San Diego police said the incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on 1st Avenue at Ash Street.
A witness told 10News an SUV traveling on northbound 1st Avenue apparently ran a red light and was T-boned by an oncoming Toyota Camry.
The impact caused the SUV to overturn, and the vehicle came to rest on its roof.
The SUV's occupants -- a man and a woman -- were able to crawl out of a broken window and were evaluated at the scene by emergency crews.
The Camry's female driver was taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The collision is under investigation.
